The Return of Maria

 Exo_12:8  And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.


Num_9:11  The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

In Luke 2:34-35, Simeon prophesies that Jesus will be "a sign that is spoken against" and that Mary will be "pierced through" by a sword.


"Rebellion" or "sea of bitterness": This interpretation suggests a rebellious spirit or strong will.


"Drop of the sea": This interpretation is based on the connection to the word "ים" (pronounced yam), which means "sea."
